Watercolor Painting - Other things I use

My first artist-grade watercolors.

This paper is my third favorite after Arches and Sennelier 100% cotton papers. For some reason, Winsor Newton is offering less of this 100% cotton kind now (and more of the blended types now), so this is all I could find available on Amazon, blocks aren't available now. The paper is of excellent quality and agreeable to work with.

I love this brand best after Arches, although both feel pretty similar. This one is harder to find.

Not the best quality of all 100% cotton papers for watercolor, but, it's pretty decent and more affordable than most. I found it just dries a bit faster than papers like Arches would. Also, this cold press texture is particularly grainy but it's fine unless you wanted to paint fine hair and details.

I bought only one block so far and enjoyed it. I find its cold press texture is actually quite smooth, so that could be a better choice for fine details, portraits etc (compared to other similar papers I recommend).

I use such palettes to pour my tubes into. I have one of this brand, one Schmincke and two Arteza and so far I haven't seen a difference between them all.

I'll use this to add very fine and subtle highlights on top of a finished watercolor. Use with care as this is very sharp.

I use this graphite grey color to add a moody vibe to my watercolor paintings as demonstrated in some of my YouTube videos.

The first set of water-based ink markers I purchased and featured in a YouTube video. I love they blend so well and are so vibrant!

I love these paints! They are a great quality, and give a beautiful, moody atmosphere to the painting. The colors go together so well there is no need for any color mixing between each one.

A nice set to have for bright and colorful paintings!
