Short Code Sync
Automatically sync custom short link codes with your affiliate links
Short Code Sync keeps the short link codes for your affiliate links in sync with the labels you assign to those links. When you create a new affiliate link, MakerManifest automatically generates a short code based on the link's label — so an affiliate link labelled 'KutzAll' might get the code mkr.ms/kutzall, making the resulting short link human-readable and easy to remember.
This automatic sync happens at creation time. If you later rename an affiliate link, the short code isn't automatically changed (to avoid breaking existing published links), but you can trigger a manual sync using the 'Sync codes' button in your affiliate links dashboard. This button regenerates the codes for any links where the code no longer matches the label.
Short Code Sync reduces the friction of maintaining clean, memorable short links for your brand partnerships. Instead of having random auto-generated codes for your affiliate links, your short links can reflect the brand name they represent.
