YouTube Channel Import
Create short links for every video in your YouTube channel automatically
Connect your YouTube channel and MakerManifest will fetch every public video and create a short link for each one. Short codes are generated automatically from video titles — for example, a video called "Building a Clamp Rack" becomes mkr.ms/building-a-clamp-rack.
This is especially useful if you reference videos in your gear lists or Affiliate Links section and want clean, memorable short links rather than long YouTube URLs. After import you can customise any individual code.
Requires a YouTube Data API v3 key (free from Google Cloud Console). The key is saved privately to your account and only used for imports you run. Available on Premium and Founder plans.

How to use it
Go to console.cloud.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
Click the project dropdown at the top of the page and choose 'New Project'. Give it any name (e.g. 'MakerManifest Import') and click Create.
In the left sidebar, go to APIs & Services → Library. Search for 'YouTube Data API v3' and click it, then click Enable.
Go to APIs & Services → Credentials. Click 'Create Credentials' → 'API key'. Google will generate a key immediately — copy it.
Optional but recommended: click 'Edit API key', scroll to API restrictions, select 'Restrict key', and choose 'YouTube Data API v3'. This limits what the key can do if it ever leaks.
Paste the key into the YouTube API key field on the Import page and click Save Keys. You're ready to import.
