Act Before May 11, 2026
kit.co is shutting down permanently on May 11, 2026. After that date, all kit.co pages and links will stop working. If your YouTube descriptions, Instagram bio, or other content links to kit.co URLs, those links will break and you'll lose affiliate clicks.
Here's how to migrate to MakerManifest before the deadline.
Step 1: Export Your kit.co Data
Before kit.co goes dark, download your data:
- ● Log in to kit.co
- ● Go to your account settings
- ● Look for a data export or CSV download option
- ● Save the file — you'll need it for import
Important: Do this as soon as possible. If kit.co goes down before you export, your data is gone.
Step 2: Create Your MakerManifest Account
MakerManifest is currently in invite-only beta. You can:
- ● Join with an invite link from an existing member
- ● Join the waitlist on the home page for early access
Step 3: Import Your kit.co CSV
MakerManifest has a built-in kit.co CSV importer. From your dashboard:
- ● Go to Dashboard → Import (or contact support to have your CSV imported)
- ● Upload the CSV file you exported from kit.co
- ● Review the imported gear lists and products
- ● Fix any missing images or titles (some scraping may not work for every product)
Step 4: Connect Your Affiliate Programs
In MakerManifest Settings → Affiliate Programs, add:
- ● Your Amazon Associates tracking ID
- ● Any other affiliate program tags (custom rules supported for any store)
MakerManifest will automatically inject your affiliate tags on all matching links — no need to update each product manually.
Step 5: Update Your Links
Each gear list gets a short link (e.g., mkr.ms/your-list). Update these in:
- ● YouTube video descriptions
- ● Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter bios
- ● Newsletter links
- ● Any other content that linked to kit.co
MakerManifest short links won't break when product URLs change — you can update the destination without changing the link your audience uses.
