The Best Link-in-Bio Tool for Makers, Crafters & YouTube Creators

If you create content about making — woodworking, 3D printing, electronics, crafting, cooking, metalworking, or anything in between — you know the problem: one link in your Instagram or TikTok bio can only take people to one place.

That's why we built a link-in-bio page into MakerManifest. Every account gets a free public page at /[username]/bio where you can list all your important links in one place, connect it to your gear lists, and optionally show your affiliate links too.

What Is a Link-in-Bio Page?

A link-in-bio page (sometimes called a "link tree" page) is a single public URL that you put in your social media bio. Instead of your followers having to choose between your YouTube channel, your Amazon storefront, your Etsy shop, and your latest blog post — they click one link and see everything.

Tools like Linktree, Beacons, and Stan Store made this popular. But those tools aren't built for makers. They don't know what a gear list is. They don't understand affiliate programs. And they definitely don't auto-inject your affiliate tags.

MakerManifest does all of that — because it was built specifically for creators who make things and recommend gear.

What's on Your MakerManifest Bio Page?

Your bio page at /[username]/bio includes:

  • Your profile header — avatar, display name, bio text, and links to your YouTube, Instagram, Twitter/X, Patreon, Facebook, and website

  • Custom links — add any links you want: your newsletter, your Discord, a specific YouTube video, your Amazon storefront, your Etsy shop, or anything else

  • Your gear lists — your published MakerManifest gear lists appear automatically below your links, so visitors can browse the products you actually use and recommend

  • Affiliate links section (Basic+ feature) — optionally show your stored affiliate programs so followers can sign up through your links

Free Link-in-Bio for Every User

The core link-in-bio feature is free for all MakerManifest users. No paid plan required. You can:

  • ● Add unlimited custom links with a title, URL, description, and optional thumbnail image

  • ● Show or hide individual links without deleting them

  • ● Drag-and-drop reorder your links from the dashboard

  • ● Share your bio page URL anywhere: Instagram bio, TikTok bio, YouTube channel description, email signature

Your bio page is live at makermanifest.co/[your-username]/bio as soon as you add your first link.

Basic+ Features: Groups and Grid View

On the Basic plan and above, you unlock two powerful display upgrades:

Link Groups

Organize your links into named sections. For example, you might have a "Shop" group with your storefront links, a "Videos" group with your latest YouTube uploads, and a "Resources" group with tools and tutorials. Groups appear as labeled sections on your bio page so visitors can find what they're looking for faster.

Grid View

Switch from the default list layout to a Pinterest-style grid. Each link shows its thumbnail image in a card format — great if your links include product images, YouTube thumbnails, or brand logos. The grid layout is especially effective if you're linking to a lot of visual content.

Show Your Affiliate Links on Your Bio Page

If you use affiliate programs — Amazon Associates, Impact, ShareASale, AWIN, CJ, or any of the hundreds of programs in the MakerManifest affiliate directory — you can optionally display them on your bio page.

This is a Basic+ feature. When enabled, your affiliate links appear as a separate section below your gear lists. Each one links through the MakerManifest short link system, so your affiliate tags are always applied correctly.

You can also add a short bio or disclosure text above the affiliate section — useful for adding an FTC disclosure directly on the page.

How It Compares to Linktree

Linktree is a great general-purpose link-in-bio tool. But it has no concept of affiliate links, gear lists, or product recommendations. You'd have to manually add every product link. There's no affiliate tag injection. And your gear lists would need to be hosted somewhere else entirely.

MakerManifest is a link-in-bio tool that's purpose-built for creators who make things and monetize through affiliate commissions. Your gear lists live here. Your affiliate programs live here. Your bio page pulls it all together automatically.

How to Set Up Your Bio Page

  1. ● Log in to your MakerManifest dashboard

  2. ● Go to Bio Links in the sidebar

  3. ● Add your first link — give it a title, URL, and optional description

  4. ● Copy your bio page URL and paste it into your Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube bio

Your gear lists appear automatically — no extra steps needed. If you want to show your affiliate links too, toggle on "Show affiliate links on bio page" in the Bio Links settings (Basic+ accounts).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the link-in-bio feature free?

Yes. Adding custom links and sharing your bio page is free for all MakerManifest accounts. Link groups, grid view, and the affiliate links section on the bio page are Basic+ features.

Can I use this instead of Linktree?

Yes, especially if you're a content creator who recommends gear. MakerManifest's bio page includes everything Linktree does for links — plus your gear lists and affiliate programs built in.

What URL do I share?

Your bio page is at makermanifest.co/[username]/bio. You can find and copy this URL from the Bio Links section of your dashboard.

Can I hide links without deleting them?

Yes. Every link has a show/hide toggle in the editor. Hidden links stay saved but don't appear on your public bio page.
